I’ve been planting a lot of seeds for this project, some ideas with deeper roots and others that may be propagated later, and I’m waiting for them to actualize and slowly bud.

All things in our ecological systems are informed by the seasons. Growth happens at its own pace and rhythms.

A lesson I recently learnt from my folks, understood from my family’s long history of farming, is that if you extract from a section of land one year, you’ll want to put the nutrients back into that soil the following year. So if you harvest corn on the plot and extract all those juicy nutrients one year, you’d best be planting potatoes the next. Healing and balancing the soil’s microbiome was practiced long before our need for indicators like ‘organic’. If we want to do right by our earth, we won’t force acceleration and find attunement with what is needed, and when.

My timing with sharing about this project has been slower than I hoped for, and that’s a part of the cynical nature of life itself; sometimes it moves very rapid and direct, slow and methodical, and other times it’s on a completely unexpected side trail.

The more I’ve tried to force movement in ‘my time’, the more that nature has put me into its own liminal time space, I am at its mercy, and listening.

I catalyzed Bloom Visions because I see the intersecting correlations our narratives have in redesigning both our inner and outer worlds. The time has come to reinvent our lives and dream them up collectively, and I’m seeking other incredible people to do this with.

Our earth is the ultimate expert at adaptation and change, and in that same vein, I welcome this project to also change along with me.

So I’m listening to the turning of the world’s cycles: planting seeds, tending to them, giving them the time to flourish, and listening for when to let them renew again.

Thank you for taking the time to read about Nature’s Time.
